Please Pass The Popcorn

Instead of paying for overpriced $5.00 popcorn in your local movie theater, you can actually get popcorn on Kilimanjaro. Is it random? For Sure! There are many trekking companies that serve popcorn or other deserts, like cookies, as soon as you arrive in camp after hiking the entire day. Surprisingly, it’s a great snack and, although quite often you don’t feel hungry, popcorn is filling enough to make your stomach fill a bit happy.

Unfortunately, there are no candy, soda, or movies on Kilimanjaro, but if you are at Mweka Camp, you might get some beers to compliment your popcorn.
