While a bottomless purse might seem ideal for doing a Kilimanjaro trek, not everyone who wants to climb the mountain has a big budget. What kind of options does someone with a $1200-1600 range have for climbing Kili safely?

With two spare days after a Kilimanjaro trek, YRP was thinking of hanging out in Moshi or Arusha and is interested in the cultural tourism programs. Anyone have any experience with those?

Wrldtrvlr wanted to make sure she wasn’t the only one hallucinating on the mountain – and it turns out she wasn’t! Read some of the other stories people have contributed, they’re great. Kellyh01 even felt the presence of her deceased grandfather!
