		<description>Simon,
You can climb privately with only 1 or 2 people.
I climbed with my son.
We chose July/August because it is the dry season normally. We had sun every day...no rain. Almost every outfitter has time of year suggestions.
We chose a 9 day up trip to maximize our chances to get used to the altitude. We were not hungry much but we were never sick. We did not use Diamox. We chose the Lemosho/Western Breach route because it is way less crowded and summit day is shorter that getting up at midnight and hiking 8 hours.
Pick a good outfitter. We used Tusker, Kiliwarriors is good and there are others.
Bargin outfitters suck.
You can spend $2600 to $3600 plus your own gear, tips and a plain ticket extra.
We had an awesome time.
The story I wrote about our climb is being posted on the site in the next few days and will also answer more of your questions.
Good Luck!
ED

		<description>To whom it may concern

Please could you send me some information and advice on climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. I would like to know when the best time to climb is, how many people we need in a group to climb privately, and what price range we are looking at?

Thank you
