Sean Householder

Sean Householder is an only child born in Columbus, Ohio. He moved several times in his youth, living in various locations in Ohio, Indiana, and Arizona. During this time he and his family traveled to most states east of the Mississippi River, Canada, and Mexico.

He pursued a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in 1999 and his Master’s degree in 2000. Since graduation he has been working as a microprocessor designer for ARM, an industry leader in microprocessor intellectual property.

Sean currently lives in Leander, Texas, which is just outside of Austin, with his girlfriend, Marisa. They have three crazy dogs, Shadow, Bonnie, and Belle, who love to run around their enormous 1/4-acre ranch. Sean enjoys rock climbing, car racing, soccer, woodworking, and video games in his spare time.

After traveling a large portion of the U.S., Sean is looking to expand his horizons with some worldwide travel with a little help from his girlfriend. They traveled to Belize in 2003 to stay on a remote,virtually deserted island paradise for a week. He has also visited the United Kingdom several times for business and pleasure, including traveling into the fields and forests of Wales to watch cars race in the World Rally Championship. This year they plan to visit Argentina andAfrica, doubling the number of continents Sean has been to.

His dreams include traveling to new climbing crags in the U.S. and worldwide, seeing a Formula 1 race in Europe, touring Asia, building a kit car, creating his own furniture, driving the Nurburgring in Germany, and retiring early so he can realize all these dreams and more.
