[...] Mt. Kilimanjaro to me is a very special place and having successfully summitted the highest peak in Africa makes it even more special. I have written several articles about Kili and each time time I read them or anyone elses blogs, stories, pictures, etc. it evokes a sense of pride and brings back great and successful memories. Africa is my favorite continent and Kili may be my favorite place on the dark continent. For the rest of my life my friend jake (pictured to the left below) and I can say that we summitted Kilimanjaro. To read my day to day accounting of our climb, check this out, http://www.mtkilimanjarologue.com/planning/climber-profiles/day-by-day-tales-on-mt-kilimanjaro.html.
Guys,

Remember where you are and what you are doing! Most people never leave their cubicle or factory work station their entire lives, let alone endure hardship pleasure! Embrace the pain. You definitely complained more than praised the trip. Mountaineering is 100% mental. I know I've been there. Keep learning and looking on the bright side of life!
