I have a number of groups climbing Kilimanjaro this coming summer. All of these groups are looking for other people to join. Typically the groups are composed of other independent-style travelers in small groups or alone, that are looking to share in the excitement of climbing Africa’s highest mountain.

Join Mount Kilimanjaro Group Next December
There are two climbers starting a seven day Machame route climb on Mount Kilimanjaro, December 7, 2007. If you are interested in joining this trek up Kilimanjaro, contact me for more details. Cycle Africa - Around Kilimanjaro
This coming September, we are putting together a group to cycle around Mt. Kilimanjaro, designed as an encounter with the people, the environment and the wildlife of this famous mountain.
This trip is for active people who are comfortable exploring new cultures and environments. While not an extreme physical adventure, participation on the trip does require that you be physically fit, culturally adaptable and have some current experience riding a mountain bike off-road. I apologize for bringing this post to the front page again, but we have had some updates to these trips.
If you are looking to join a group to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, I will update this webpage each week, adding dates that groups have offered their climb for others to join. Generally most trips to climb Kilimanjaro are private, but from time-to-time, people open them to others. Below are some current public group options - anyone can join:

I am kind of sentimental today. It’s the start of new year, just a few months before my first child is born, and it’s a typical dark and dreary January day in Oregon. As I look back on the last year, I think of all the great experiences and memories. Probably one of the coolest adventure trips I did was exactly one year ago when I climbed to the top of Mt. July 24 Kilimanjaro Climb & Safari

Thanks for your patience regarding the details for the July 24, 2006 Kilimanjaro trek and safari. Given the high interest level, we have been working hard to secure all the appropriate guides and hotels. All of our plans look good. We just need a final confirmation from you!
The total cost for the 7day/6 night Kilimanjaro climb and the 3 day/2 night safari is $2230. This includes just about everything – except your plane ticket, tips, alcohol and any of the amazing carvings or Tanzanite you want to bring home. Not to sell ourselves anymore, but if you look at almost any other comparable company, you will see that our prices are very affordable.

We have available spots open for our July 24th Kilimanjaro climb this year.
It includes the following:
-2 Nights in hotels
-7 Days on the Lemosho Route up Kilimanjaro
-3 Day Camping Safari in Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater

Total Price Per Person: $2130
There is $500 non-refundable deposit that applys to the total cost of this trip. This Kili trip will be full by April, if not earlier. Make sure to get your deposit in advance.
